The presence of Regnum Mariae in the UK began in 2020. A member of another secular institute within the Servite Order applied to the Central Council to transfer her perpetual vows to Regnum Mariae and was accepted for a formation period of three years. During this time and through discernment, the sister is verifying whether God is calling her to our way of life within this specificity of ours.

She became familiar with Regnum Mariae in 2018 when she was invited by the RM Central Council to attend the General Assembly in Loreto that year in a fraternal capacity as Vice-President of the UK-based secular institute. Being greatly attracted by the example of the sisters present at the assembly, she spent the following two years discerning the possibility of a call to our Rule of Life. This led to her decision to submit her application to the Central Council and following the provisions of the Code of Canon Law for these cases and putting the two institutes involved in dialogue.

She lives in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands area of Central England. It is a multicultural city, with residents from all over the world represented in her parish community.
Her participation in the life of Regnum Mariae has been managed online, beginning in the pandemic when travel was not possible. Formation meetings are held regularly through Zoom, which also enables moments of fraternal communion with other English-speaking sisters in the Philippines and India through regular meetings. We hope this reality can be the beginning of a small fraternity in this country. |
