Since February 2022 there are two candidates who have started the path of initial formation in Regnum Mariae.
Already since 2018 we had received news that some people wanted to learn more about the Institute. A sister travelled to India to personally meet these young women, taking the opportunity to visit Chennai for an international meeting organized by the OSM Curia in that city. The Central Council received a detailed report on this visit and discussed the possibilities and difficulties of opening a new presence in this country.

There was a need to reflect and at that moment the decision was placed in the hands of the Spirit so that the Council could do a profound work of discernment... Then the pandemic arrived and a second trip of deepening could not be carried out immediately.

Meanwhile, in India other people joined the request to start the path of formation; others decided on different paths and those that remained began to meet sporadically; they kept in touch to get to know each other and to deepen the Rule of Life together.

This tenacity and perseverance, despite the adversities, were a very important signal to make a decision and the deep interest in our spirituality and lifestyle could be perceived, so that in 2022 the welcome path was officially started to promote the reciprocal knowledge between us and them.

The Philippine Group and our sister in England also took advantage of the opportunity and frequently organize online fraternal meetings with them, which undoubtedly help to enrich each other.

We are in the hands of the Lord and we ask Mary, our Mother and sister, to accompany these first steps on Indian soil.
