​The presence in Colombia began with the interest of some OSM Colombian seminarians who made their path of formation in Mexico. There, they had the chance to meet the Regnum Mariae group in Mexico and to know about the Secular Institutes within the Servite Family and in particular about Regnum Mariae.
 
When they returned to their homeland, to Medellin, in 2008, one of these brothers began making the RM vocational proposal to some people, including a young woman who was trying to give a deeper meaning to her life.

Thus, she began a process of discernment accompanied by the same friar who gradually helped her to discover her vocation. However, it was only in February 2010, that they contacted the then-Elder Sister, asking officially to begin a more direct process of discernment and formation targeted by the RM. In this way, and for the ease of the language, this task was entrusted to one of the sisters in Mexico who followed her via computer and with the help of another sister from Italy.
 
In April 2011, these two sisters visited Colombia and a half year later, on 15 September 2012, our sister pronounced her Promise in the Servite Priory in the Ceja Antioquia, Colombia. Today our sister already has definitive incorporation.
 
We hope that the Lord Jesus continues to call other people to follow Him in this land consecrated to his Sacred Heart.
