The presence of Regnum Mariae in Spain officially dates back to 20 October 1990, when the Central Council of the Secular Institute welcomed the application for entry of a sister from Valencia. In this way, and together with Canada, the way for the presence of the Regnum Mariae beyond the Italian borders began, by the gift of the Spirit and with the help of our brother Servants of Mary in Spain.

In August 1989, our sister came to Italy to learn more closely about the Institute. Shortly after, two RM sisters travelled to Valencia, to give the opportunity to deepen mutual knowledge, to offer additional information and understand better the specific of Secular Institutes and of Regnum Mariae in particular, and to develop a tailored formation programme.
 
After several years of hard work, in 1994 our sister made the profession of the evangelical counsels according to the Rule of Life of Regnum Mariae.

Although today she is the only member of the Institute in Spain, she is working in making know our vocation in her country and is always enthusiastic to take part in all the initiatives at regional and international level of Secular Institutes’ organizations present in her territory.
